I would say that this is my 'get out the vote' post. But I am thinking that everyone has pretty much rushed out to vote in this election. And that is a very awesome freedom we have. But really,... don't forget to vote!
Our county has all mail-in ballots. We sat and filled them out tonight after our chili and cornbread dinner. Very convenient, but not as profound as going to the polling place and voting. I am old enough to remember going into a dark voting booth behind a green, canvas curtain and pulling the handle to cast a vote!

such striking images ~ we went last week ~glad I did
Mmmm, love the pics. I just posted my go out and vote but I already voted a few weeks ago like you via the mail! You know whats funny, I've NEVER voted in person. Always through the mail. I need to try it at least once. I want a sticker!

voted first thing this morning. i was expecting long lines, but was in and out in 5 minutes. is it silly to say i was a bit disappointed in not having to wait in line? it's a bit more exciting when the energy/excitement is buzzing...
I went to your sight with great anticipation that you would have something in regard to the election. As I expected there were some great photos as well as some thoughts. Thank you Mar! I too remember going behind the canvas to vote. I appreciate the ability to sit with my info and vote but it feels almost spiritual to go to the polls and vote with my fellow Americans.
Great eagle photo!
