welcome spring

I just love this new coffee mug I found this weekend. And then when I looked out the window this evening, I realized that art certainly does imitate life (and visa versa) and made it into a photo opportunity!
Have not been keeping up with the blog since I am so active on flickr. And then, I dabbled a bit on facebook this spring. I think I am mainly a flickr gal, since I love speaking with photos, and often find writing much more of a challenge! Any thoughts on blog vs. facebook vs. flickr? and just don't ask me to open a twitter account!

Well, I'm pretty much biased. I LOVE what you post at flickr. You consistently create such beautiful images!!

hi hi hi hi hi! it's fun to see you in blog form. i'm slowly emerging from my self-imposed flickr exile, and have been peeking this week. and seeing you there...

i am on facebook, but i am very strict about my time on it - i don't let it become a time waster for me! no games. no quizzes. just a quick update from me occasionally, and time to see what my friends are doing. i'd love to connect with you there.

i'm with you: twitter is a no. those of us with jobs and hobbies don't need another means to keep us from that which we love!

Well, I've got all 3 too. fb - same comments as Jen. I only recently got on there due to all the friend and family nagging. I limit my time there though. Flickr - fun, quick, easy to comment back and forth, perfect for photo expression and quick updates. Blog - I some times wish I had not started a blog and just done flickr. Blogs are more time consumptive and harder to comment back and forth. On the other hand I can express myself in ways I can't on Flickr. I also have readers (especially family ones) that expect my occasional blog updates. So far I only have one friend nagging me about twitter and quite honestly, I don't get it. Seems to me like just one more place I'd have to go look for updates and my time is not in surplus. If flickr is where your happiness is just stick to that.

Oh, one more thing - the downside to flickr is that you are so popular it's hard to have little conversations like this. Because it's so easy to leave comments on flickr you get a bazillion "cool pic" type comments. Which is an ego booster but not a relationship. On a blog, you'll only get comments from people who think it's worth dealing with sign in or word verification and such.
