Ringing in the New Year at Lake Louise ~ Trip of a Lifetime

~ A week at Lake Louise that we wished would never end!~
Seven days of wonderful company, relaxation, fun, laughs, hugs, hikes in the snow, delicious wining and dining, competitive card playing, and an adventure every day.
I laced up the skates for the first time in a long time (true confession = probably 30 years)
I took lots of photos (true confession = 935).
I learned, the hard way, the importance of setting a custom white balance on your camera when taking photos in the snow (true confession = I have many photos with blue tinted snow).

your shots have been gorgeous and I look forward to seeing more. It sounds like a wonderful time. And yes, I've learned all about WB when I came home with a ton of blue shots from the beach.

Wow, what a wonderful trip! I can totally see taking nearly a thousand photos though. The good thing is that you can look through all of them and mentally go back. :)

Welcome home, Martha!

that trip sounds like it was magical -- it sure looks magical!

Most of the time I tend to remove the blue cast on the snow but must admit when I posted the photos of the cold the other day, I purposely left the various colour casts as they were sooc. They would never be accepted for publication that way, but gosh I like them with that cast sometimes. Your photos from the trip are absolutely divine!
