Bless her tender heart

Saturday night, we sat on the high bluffs at For Casey Park to watch the sunset. Far below us, (this photo was shot with 200mm lens) a woman sat on a driftwood log wrapped in her orange crocheted afghan. Just as the sun dipped below the horizon, she got up and walked to the water. It was then that I spied through my lens that she carried a bouquet of red roses in her arms. Soon a very poignant scene unfolded, as she began to take her roses out of the bouquet, and one by one toss them into the waters of the strait of Juan de Fuca and watch them float on the waves. Bless her tender heart.

I'm thinking of all sorts of sad romantic reasons behind her actions. So sweet. I want to track her down and hug her.

Awww, I am so sad. I guess I shouldnt assume she is sad or missing a love. Sure seems like that would be the case though. Really can you think of a happy reason to throw roses into the ocean?
Any way, great shot! I love a pic that tells a story too.

how sad, but how amazing for you to witness an emotional event from afar.
